    A hearty black bean soup with a little kick.

    Ingredients

    Black Beans*, Celery, Carrots*, Onions, Squash*, Tomato Sauce, Garlic,
    Herbs & Spices, Salt.
  • DEEP PURPLE SEEDSLAW

    Pumpkin, hemp, flax, sunflower and sesame seeds and beet pickles make for a super nutritious slaw, with added purple!

Recipe of the Day

White Bean Soup

Serves: 6

8 cups water
1 1/2 cups navy beans

1 medium onion (diced)
1 medium carrots (diced)
1 stem celery (diced)
1 cup squash (diced)
1/2 cup zucchini (diced)
2 cups mushrooms (sliced)
1 medium garlic clove (minced)

2 medium tomatoes (diced)
1/4 cup tomato sauce
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoons pepper
1 sprig fresh basil (chopped)
3 sprigs cilantro (chopped)

Simmer beans in the water for 1 1/2 hours. Add the veggies to the beans and cook for 40 minutes. Add the tomatoes and seasonings and serve.

Lots of veggies in this one, a refreshing soup that goes great with a crusty slice of bread.
