Veganism is the choice not to consume animal products, primarily through our diets, but also by avoiding the use of leather, wool, cosmetics & other products derived from animal sources. While vegetarians do not eat flesh foods, vegans also avoid eggs & dairy foods. The primary reason for people to choose a vegan lifestyle is the desire to cause as little suffering as possible to other beings. It is a joy to live without consuming animals; your body, the environment & your fellow humans will thank you for it too.
The daily menu at Green Cuisine looks like any other restaurant's at first glance, we feature items like Shepherd's Pie, Spaghetti Bolognese, 'meatballs'in Gravy, Burgers, Spanikopita, Paella, Chile, Chowder,'Eggless' Salad & Coleslaw as well as many ethnic style dishes such as Szechuan Salad, Curries, Samosas, Thai Noodles, Falafels & Chow Mein. However all our dishes are 100% vegan, instead of animal products we use nut butters, soy milk, tofu, wheat protein & soy cheeses.
The majority of our customers are not necessarily vegan or vegetarian, they are people who like quality, healthy food, that tastes good & makes them feel good. It is not our wish to lay a trip on anyone, there are many issues surrounding peoples dietary & lifestyle choices, we just love this food & enjoy sharing it with people.
